December Delight

December was a jam-packed month....

December Nights @ Balboa Park
Saw a little Nutcracker, ate Iranian food & sang Hallelujah. Christmas in San Diego at it's finest.

Visit with Santa @ The Spencer's Sports Club

A San Diego Ice company even takes pity on our Southern California kiddos & makes 'snow' for them to play in.

Super Service Saturday
A new yearly tradition.
One Saturday morning I had a chance to accompany the PQ2 Ward to photograph a Christmas Breakfast they hosted at the Interfaith Alliance in Escondido. The Young Men & Young Women from the ward cooked & served breakfast, hosted crafts, broke 2 pinatas & provided a visit from Santa including a present for every little boy or girl who attended. Keller & I were able to pick out & donate a toy to the activity for a boy about Keller's age. I had the joy to photograph the little boy getting his present from Santa & opening with lots of smiles:

Later that day our family started our own Super Service Saturday.
In just a few hours we:
Bought lunch at Subway for a nice grandma behind us in line
Provided a Subway gift card & McDonalds gift cards to two down-on-their-luck gentlemen
Left 5 $1 bills hidden at Dollar Tree for someone else to buy a Christmas gift
Donated a toy
Delivered 5 milkshakes to the nurses on the Oncology floor of a hospital

This was my favorite activity of our Christmas season.

Keller's Christmas Piano Recital.
God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman & Up On the Housetop

We love Miss Lorraine

The month of December provided night after night of spectacular sunsets.

Santa delivers.....

...while Keller sleeps under the Christmas blanket my Grandma made for me when I was 7.

Marchant Mayhem Cousins

Celebrating 7:
Chad made Keller a custom 7 pancake with 7 candles

Then it was off to Kanab to visit Grandma & Papa Hamblin to continue the celebration:

The boy's requested cheesecake for his birthday cake.

All in all - It was all fabulous...and busy...and tiring. Merry Christmas.
