WE PACKED.
Actually, Keller packed. Can't leave Baby Bear, blankie or pillow. Who needs clothes or a toothbrush with these comforts from home?
WE CHECKED IN.
I was very excited to see I was 'Guest of the Day' at my favorite Scottsdale Holiday Inn Express that I have stayed at for years. I have coveted that 'Guest of the Day' title & nifty gift bag for many a stayover.
WE ATE.
CHINO BANDIDO
One of our favorites featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives. It combines Mexican, Jamaican & Chinese food in one luxurious trip to 'Flavor Town'. [thanks Guy!]
LO LO'S CHICKEN & WAFFLES
A new hotspot -- featuring just what it says -- fried chicken & waffles. Tasty waffles. Yes, that is a jar of red Koolaid. It was dang good!
CHICK-FIL-A
I know it's not a local hotspot like we usually try to hit. But, we don't have them at home & they are my favorite. I think I'm squeezing in 3 visits to this fast-food paradise during my AZ week.
WE PLAYED.
We swam. We napped.
We bowled. The ramp was a fun touch. Sad to say that even with bumpers up the whole game, Chad & I still didn't break 100. WE CHEERED ON THE HOME TEAM. Went to the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game. Keller loved the game & even got a chance to hit the ball pitched by a real pitcher & run the bases at a kiddy play field they had in the stadium.
WE EXPLORED.
Checked out a swap meet in a less than desirable area of town. Saw the Mystery Castle from the gate. Walked through Arizona Mills -- shopping wonder of the world! Went to a farmer's market.
WE HAD A GREAT TIME.

Looks like fun. I hope you liked Lo Lo's! I got that text from Chad way late because I was in Bear Lake with poor service. I couldn't tell if you guys liked it or not. Can' wait to try Chino Bandito when we go down for Thanksgiving!
Sorry, that was me (Nicole).
That seriously looks like a great time!
