My Mom found the BEST THING EVER to keep Kel occupied in the car:
3 hours and not a peep -- as long as Elmo was on the screen!
We got a chance to see our friend's, the Spencer's. They took us to the BEST breakfast spot in Redlands, CA -- Martha Green's Eating Room. They have a Sinful French Toast [Yes -- That is the name of it!] that is croissants, heavy cream, eggs all cooked suffle style. I would gladly sin for some more now! We also went to Ontario Mills Outlet Mall [love Nordstrom Rack & Steve & Barry's]. It was SO FUN to see Wes, Ash & Hailey. Good times had by all! [Get back to Las Vegas soon!]
The next day we went to the Orange County Swapmeet. Kel had fun riding on Chad's shoulders. Not too many finds/deals that day. We did get Kel a 'leash' that had a bear backpack. We were able to use it a bit -- but kids don't 'walk' as well as dogs -- instead of a forward path like a dog, kids go here, there & touch everything in between. [Did I just compare Kel to a dog ? I'm a bad Mom! J/K]
Great weekend getaway! Thanks for the hospitality Uncle Mark & Aunt Sheila and to Mom for driving. Bring on summer.....
