The Miss America Pageant

Well...It was an eventful day on Saturday! We got a chance to go to the Miss America Pagaent. After all the excitement with Miss Jill...We were stoked!
The Pageant was so exciting for those first 15 minutes Jill was in competition. Our section exploded when she got announced as 'America's Choice'. Although she didn't make Top 10 --she did go out in style!

Another day and I'll give you my take on the rest of the contestants......

We got a call earlier in the week from D'El Beatty that Jill's Mom, Karen, was trying to put together an 'after-party' of-sorts for Jill after the Pageant Saturday. We, as the SUU Alum Association, had thought about putting together something. So -- we combined efforts and between Jill's family & Chad & I -- we had a rockin' after party at Chad's office building. And.....best part....Jill made it!
Jill singing a barbershop quartet song with her family.

The party bunch[Probably 100 people showed up!]

THANKS Jill for all the fun this year. You have been an AMAZING representative of Utah, SUU and most importantly, YOU! Go GI Jill!!

Hey Dana and Chad, this is Rachael (Lauritzen) Hawkins from ambassadors a while back. I don't know if you remember me, anyway, I can't believe that I ran into you blog. It looks like you guys are doing so well. You have the cutest baby too! Hope you don't mind if I check out your blog!

Looks like so much fun! It was great to have Miss Utah represented by an SUU alumn (after all, SUU alumni are the COOLEST people in the world!) :)

Dana, this looked like a lot of fun. I am glad you posted some pics of Jill at the pageant. To bad she did not win. What a wonderful and crazy ride it must have been for her.

Hope you and the fam are doing well,

Kristian
