We Left Our Hearts in San Francisco

Chad &  I took a getaway to San Francisco this last week. My ultra-smart-involved husband is on the Board of Trustees with Alliant International University and we combined a meeting for him & adventure for us.

We have been to San Francisco before so we didn't feel that we had to rush, rush, rush to see everything. That made for a relaxing tour of the city. We got to sleep in past our usual 7AM knock on the door from a certain 5 year old and have no schedule.

Our adventures [in no particular order]:

Our hotel[s] were right near the Wharf.

North Beach / Little Italy. One of my favorite parts of town due to the great food & ability to pick up a great bakery treat day or night.
Ferry Building

China Town. Lots of action. Unfortunately didn't have a great Dim Sum meal like we were hoping....

Chad was in meetings Friday so I made my way via MUNI all day. I was quite proud that I got to the Painted Ladies, Golden Gate Park, Golden Gate Bridge & back to the Wharf with my handy bus map & a variety of apps.
This would be the only picture we took with one of us in it. Go figure. But -- I LOVE the cable cars.
Could ride them ALL DAY up & down the line. My favorite part of San Fran.

Painted Ladies. Where's Uncle Jesse & DJ?

The Palace of Fine Arts -- Probably my favorite place I'd never even heard of before the trip.
Boats near Pier 39

Transamerica Tower

The ground we covered in 2 1/2 days.
No trip to San Fran would be complete without 15,000 calories.

You are a large reason why I took the time out to play with my camera on vacation. I love all the photos you get. One day we need like a photo vacation together!
