A 'Moving' Story

We have seemed to have several CRAZY things happen to us this past week. [the BUS?]

Chad went to help a lady who lives in our church ward boundaries move on Saturday. He got there at 9:30AM to find a house that only had 5 suitcases packed. Mind you, it was a 3000 square foot house with several large, nice pieces of furniture. Dirty dishes were in the sink, clothes still hanging in closets and scattered across the floor with only 5 men to pull this whole thing off. After 3 hours they informed the nice lady that they would only be able to move the large [very large!] items and she would be responsible for the rest. The 28 ft. U-Haul was loaded with what can only be assumed would be the first of at least 3 trips. As the nice driver of the U-Haul was pulling out of her driveway, he backed up and hooked the door of our truck and bent it completely out of whack. If you know Chad, there are few things he loves more than his truck, those being blood relatives. The door is now shut pending major surgery and will not open. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Chad then took a 30 minute drive across town to unload the first load and only load these men were responsible for. He arrived back home at 2PM, exhausted, tired and with a banged up truck!

The oh-so-nice lady should be filing a claim on the U-Haul truck to fix our door. If we don't hear from them this week, they will meet the Marchant WRATH!

Oh my heck I am so sorry. It totally reminds me of the yellow truck incident at the apartments, if you rememeber that?! Nick had a similar one in Blanding, these people had lived there for 30 years and my dad, bro and Nick show up to help them move like suckers I guess because no one else in the ward did. Yeah, like none of the house is packed. Nick was so mad, he said they were packing boxes and stuff, he was pissed. I can't even imagine if we got a wrecked vehicle out of the deal. I sure hope that they get with it because the Marchant wrath-- WOW!! They don't know who they are dealing with! :)

Oh man that is so crappy! I'm sorry Chad, I know it must hurt deep down. You are such a good man for going through all that.

Chad, Chad, Chad, don't you love the blessings that come from service in the elder's quorum! Reminds me of when I watched my truck drive across 200 N. in Cedar without a driver, hit a car and a tire store...not pleasant. Next time, take on a smaller opponent!
