San Diego County knows how to put on a F A I R.
The San Diego County Fair is held for nearly a month at the Del Mar Fairgrounds/RaceTrack & it is JAM packed with food, rides, food, shows, food.....Did I mention fried Oreos?
We went mid-week w/a great deal. It wasn't too packed & they also host a 'Taste of the Fair' every Tuesday where many food vendors have a 'sample' of their goods for just $2. We just ate our way thru the fair -- corndogs, funnel cakes, pizza, fried potatoes, cinnamon rolls.....

| This booth was the ULTIMATE fair food -- Chicken & Waffles, Fried PB & J, Fried Eskimo Pies, Fried Avocados. The craziest selection: A Fried Chicken Sandwich served between 2 Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Schedule my heart attack now! |
