We also had a few scary days of wildfires in April. The first day, our friends, the Spencer's, were evacuated [just 3 miles from our house]. The next day almost 9 fires sparked within a few afternoon hours around San Diego. It was a bit surreal to be watching the live news broadcast as each new fire was reported. It definitely made us prepare our 'Grab and Go' list & have an evacuation plan. My Dad & stepmom were so concerned they offered a plane ticket to get out of Dodge. Luckily we were all safe & it made us a bit more prepared.
The wildfires did provide BEAUTIFUL sunsets:
